Back to Basics
Whether you’re new to the practice or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll benefit from taking a beginner’s approach to yoga. Practice will be slow, methodical & meditative, with an emphasis on integration of the 8 limbs of yoga. A work-out & a work-in that’s suitable to all levels.
Learn the foundations of yoga in a safe, encouraging environment, while releasing stress and tension. Classes will cover alignment of fundamental asanas (postures), techniques of pranayama (breathing) and meditation. Develop strength, stamina and flexibility while relaxing and rejuvenating the body and mind.
Are you ready to take your practice to the next level? These classes move more quickly than Foundations, yet students are encouraged to move at their own pace. Further strength, stamina and flexibility will be required as more challenging postures and flowing sequences are introduced. Prior yoga experience recommended.
A fun-filled class open to all levels, although prior Yoga experience encouraged. This class will go wherever the spirit moves us ~ from Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) to inversions, backbends and balance.
This gentle yoga class uses the support of a chair for yoga poses and gentle stretches. Participants will learn how to breathe more efficiently and move with mindfulness, while stretching and toning their bodies. Safe for anyone with limited mobility, pregnant women and those with most existing medical conditions.
Stressed Out? Need to chill? Come relax & unwind in this gentle evening yoga practice. Sleep better, too!
IT’S ALIVE!!! Your yoga practice, that is. Come experience your breath and body unique to its current needs. Develop the tools of mindfulness and intention and explore your practice as a fresh experiment in communication with your energy body. In this class we begin to delve into an understanding that, ” Yoga attempts to create a state in which we are always present, really present in every action, in every moment.” – T.K.V. Desikachar. Suitable for all levels.
This yoga class is ideal for beginners and advanced practitioners alike looking to build strength, gain flexibility and focus the mind. Practice will consist of dynamic Vinyasa sequences (meaning breath is linked to movement), followed by flexibility-increasing stretches and finally cooling down with Pranayama (deep breathing) and meditation. Move, breathe, and most importantly have a great time improving and refining the body’s limitations.
